Common questions about CCNscout

How does CCNscout work?

After selecting your sport and where you want to play, CCNscout will prompt you to send an email to the college coaches matching your criteria. You can create your own email format or choose from one of our templates. After sending the email CCNscout will provide reporting showing who the emails were sent to, who opened them, which ones (if any) bounced and who clicked on the links in the email.

How often should I send emails?

We recommend sending weekly emails during the season with your highlights from that week’s game(s). Weekly emails help build name recognition. The coaches might or might not open every email they receive, and they might delete some emails without opening, making it absolutely critical to send weekly emails, so your emails keep showing up in their inbox.

How will I know if the college coaches are getting my emails?

When you send the emails, CCNscout will provide reports on who received the email, who opened it, who clicked on the links and how many times they did. All this information can help you better understand who’s interested and who’s not.

What if my coach isn’t helping me get recruited?

Your coach can’t throw a ball, catch a pass or swing a bat for you either, so you can’t count on your high school, club team or travel team coach to promote you to college coaches. The bottom line is you can’t count on anyone else to do this for you, so you need to take your recruiting into your own hands and let CCNscout help you get the exposure you want.

Is CCNscout worth the money?

So many parents spend countless hours and a significant amount of money on club teams, travel teams, personal coaches, speed coaches, strength coaches, batting coaches, you name it coaches hoping to give their athlete a chance to excel in their sport and achieve their goal of playing at the next level. But every college coach can’t make it to your athlete’s school, practice or game to see you perform. And if the college coaches don’t see you play what are their odds of making it to the next level? What CCNscout does is provide a platform for consistent exposure for you to every college coach on any level in the country.

Can’t I find all this information on the internet?

Absolutely, you can spend the time to find the coaches contact information yourself by hunting the internet, entering the information into a spreadsheet or database and then emailing the coaches. Anyone can find it by searching the school’s name, sport and coaching staff, but the information isn’t easily found all in one place and since nearly 20% of college coaches move to new schools every year as they climb the coaching ranks their contact information changes too. Don’t waste your time - let CCNscout do the work for you.
