Let CCNscout help you step up your game
Is there a recommended email format?
It’s best to keep your emails looking consistent so when the coach sees the email, they will recognize it as being from you. Choose from one of our templates or design your own.
How long should the video last?
Keep your weekly videos under 1 minute, put your best plays first and only include real highlights, coaches have a limited amount of time and aren’t going to sit through a 3-minute video unless it’s your End of Season Highlights.
How often should I send videos?
Weekly during the season plus a compilation of highlights every third week, at mid-season and at the end of the season. In the off-season you should send workouts and other sport related content every month to stay on their list of recruits.
Should I send the videos to every coach at every school?
Using football as an example, CCNscout automatically targets your position coach, the offensive or defensive coordinator and the recruiting coordinator. From there feel free to go as wide or narrow as you want with your emails, you can send them to every school in the country or just schools within a few hours of where you live. You can choose big schools that play on national television every week or smaller Division 2 or 3 schools. Whatever you do, don’t let the non-believers convince you that you can’t play at the next level or that you need to be more realistic about what level you can play at, use CCNscout to send your highlights to the coaches and let them decide if you’re a fit for their program.
You can also connect on Twitter.
If you want to further increase your name recognition with the coaches, CCNscout provides you with available Twitter contact information for the coaches so you can direct message them in addition to the email campaigns.
Can’t I find all this information on the internet?
Absolutely, you can spend the time to find the coaches contact information yourself by hunting the internet, entering the information into a spreadsheet or database and then emailing the coaches. Anyone can find it by searching the school’s name, sport and coaching staff, but the information isn’t easily found all in one place and since nearly 20% of college coaches move to new schools every year as they climb the coaching ranks their contact information changes too. Don’t waste your time - let CCNscout do the work for you.
